Bowtech – The Original Bowen Technique

I have been practicing Bowen therapy for 5 years. My passion for Bowen was first ignited by my first Bowen Treatment for a serious back problem I have suffered with since my earlier twenties. Pain free at last…Every body is better with Bowen is a true statement and I’m walking talking proof of that. Bowen changed my life.

Bowen Therapy

Everybody can benefit from the Bowen technique as it detoxifies, relaxes and balances the body and stimulates energy flow throughout to allow the body to heal itself. Bowen can be used on everybody from pregnant women preparing for birth, babies and children to the aged and invalid.
Everybody benefits from Bowen which brings balance and harmony back into the Body.

Mind Body Bowen

The body is a memory bank which preserves our individual personal history or biography, forgetting nothing, even when the conscious mind is unable to recall events. When exposed to constant stress or trauma these memories are usually held in areas of the body which have been literally ‘shut off’ and stored as unconscious memory with an ‘amour created to protect one from ‘feeling’. The innate intelligence is always seeking the opportunity to discharge this underlying ‘stress’ or ‘memory’, bring it to consciousness and integrate self. This is a very exciting way to use Bowen therapy, let your body tell us what it wants and needs. Allowing the body own intelligence to release the trauma and stress on a cellular level.

Listening to the Body

“We may focus on a mind-related cause of physical distress as described in the principles of psychosomatic medicine, but rarely do we acknowledge that our depression, our stress, our anxieties ‘live in the body”

Ian White – Psychosomatics-Wellbeing Issue 102
