Naturopathic Assessment

Naturopaths are trained to find the underlying cause rather than treat or suppress the symptoms. The Naturopath deals with a wide variety of health issues concerning the whole body, metabolic disorders and imbalances through treatment of the whole person. In general the Naturopath uses a wide range of diagnostic techniques and may involve treatment such as dietary changes, herbal medicines, homoeopathy, nutritional supplements and or bodywork.
Herbs

At Mandurah Natural Therapies Centre we utilise traditional therapies alongside modern innovations in natural healing to ensure the ultimate health and healing of each patient. The concept is to treat the whole person, empowering the individual in their quest for better health solutions through education and better health strategies.

The human body has power to heal itself – the healing power of nature, is the foundation of natural medicine philosophy and practice.

A qualified Naturopath can use Iridology, Sclerology, Tongue & Nail analysis along with other techniques to assess the patient’s health status. This is a holistic approach looking at the physical, muscular, nutritional, mental and emotional aspects of the human body.

SYMPTOMATIC CARE

At your first appointment the practitioner needs a full understanding of your presenting symptoms or complaint. We provide screening such as Live Blood Analysis, Iridology, Sclerology, PH testing, Urinary Indican test for gut health and saliva hormone testing may be carried out to confirm dis-ease of the body. Symptomatic treatment involves alleviating the pain and discomfort. A prescription of herbal medicine, nutritional supplements, homoeopathic or flower essence may be supplied, along with dietary advice. A follow up appointment will be made for review in two to three weeks.

IRIDOLOGY

Iridology is the study of the markings and discolourations that occur within the iris of the eyes. These reflect a person’s state of health and well being. The iris represents the map reflex of the parts of the body (glands, organs, spine, digestion etc). This helps to assess the health of the patient

SCLEROLOGY

Sclerology is the study of the markings within the white of the eyes. It is used as a compliment to Iridology to fully assess the patient’s health.

TONGUE, NAIL & FACIAL DIAGNOSIS

The tongue reflects the state of our digestive function (absorption, elimination, liver etc), allergy conditions and nutrient deficiencies.

The nails reflect certain mineral and nutrient deficiencies. The face (skin condition and colour) reflects the state of health and well being.

LIVE BLOOD ANALYSIS

Live Blood analysis is a tool to gain insight into the metabolic and nutritional status of the body at the blood cell level.

A drop of blood is taken from the fingertip and put onto a slide and viewed under specialised Dark-Field microscope. A video camera is attached for the client to view their blood status.

What is seen – red blood cells, white blood cells, plasma, – together with evidence of viral, bacterial, fungal or parasitic presence, digestive & liver function.

When a person sees their blood for the first time, they realize that there is a dynamic activity taking place within. They begin to understand, at a deeper level, the need to take care of their health

SALIVA AND HAIR TISSUE ANALYSIS

Researchers have focused their attention on the link between the age related decline of certain hormones and minerals with the quality of life we enjoy.   Modern farming techniques, fertilisers and depleted soils reduce the mineral content of our foods.  Environmental pollutants, chemical food additives and stressful lifestyles also have a detrimental effect on our nutritional status.

Many health conditions are aggravated by mineral imbalances and toxic metal excesses, including cardiovascular disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, migraines, learning difficulties and hyperactivity in children, to name just a few. Now there is a way to monitor our nutritional status and ageing process.

Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis is a safe and non-invasive pathology test. It measures the levels and comparative ratios of nutrient and toxic minerals found in hair.  It is regarded by many doctors, naturopaths and nutritional therapists as one of the most valuable screening tools, with results that are not revealed in standard blood and urine tests.

A simple cost effective saliva test will give you an accurate profile of your hormone levels allowing,  if necessary, adjustments with natural supplementation and further advice. .

ALLERGY TESTING

This application identifies allergies and intolerances such as foods, chemicals, pollutants, plants and environment etc. Testing applications can be either using Kinesiology muscle testing or allergy test equipment.

AYURVEDA

Ayurveda is an ancient healing system from India that dates back some 5,000 years or more. It encompasses a wide range of techniques to treat illness and encourage general wellbeing.

The main philosophy is that the mind and body are one and the same, and that physical health can’t be achieved without emotional, mental and spiritual health. An Ayurvedic practitioner aims to balance the patient’s doshas in order to increase their life energy or ‘prana’. Only then is good health possible. We take up prana from the food we eat and the air we breathe.
