WHAT IS KINESIOLOGY?

Kinesiology (Kin-easy-ology) is a health care modality that incorporates modern applications of natural therapies and combines it with the wisdom of eastern and western traditions. Kinesiology is the “science of energy balancing” and is supported and grounded with the study of Anatomy and Physiology of the body. It is a communication tool that enables a person to assess and improve their performance in most areas of their life.

Kinesiology uses the tool of “muscle testing” to identify the imbalances within the body and its energy systems (from a structural, muscular, chemical, nutritional, mental, emotional or other energy levels). Kinesiology is a non-invasive application, using precision muscle feedback testing. It uses muscles as monitors to evaluate stress and imbalance within the body and then focus on applications to balance the body energies to maintain better health and harmony.

Kinesiology enables people to detect and correct various imbalances within the body that may relate to stress, poor nutrition, learning problems, minor injuries and other issues that confront people in everyday life.

WHAT CAN KINESIOLOGY HELP WITH?’

Kinesiology can assist with a range of problems: -

Structural
Pain – Posture – Illness – Injury – Muscular Problems
Sports Performance
Injury – Muscular Problems – Muscular Injury – Coordination – Motor skills – Balance
Education
Learning Difficulties – Brain Integration – Fine motor skills
Chemical
Food Sensitivity – Allergies – Nutrition Imbalances
Emotional
Fear – Phobias – Trauma – Emotional Abuse – Goal Enhancement

Kinesiology allows the individual to take charge of the way they relate to the past, the present and future circumstances of their lives.

HOW DOES KINESIOLOGY WORK?

The fundamental premise of Kinesiology is that the body has an innate healing energy that is, at all times, attempting to do its best to take care of itself but sometimes it needs to be helped along to allow the achievement of this care. Kinesiology recognises that there are flows of energy within the body that relate to all muscles, body tissues, organs and glands. The energy flows work harmoniously throughout all muscles, tissues, organs and glands, so functioning can occur in a balanced way. It has been found that there are certain muscles that relate to certain organs, glands and tissues and it has been found that these muscles are monitors of these organs, glands and tissues. When the energy flows is adequate and optimal, then these organs, glands and tissues are functioning, as they should be, in a harmonious way.

These energy flows can be evaluated by using muscle testing. The test will be either weak or strong. If the test is strong, then the energy flows are functioning well. If the test is weak,, then there is an imbalance in the energy flows, which reflects to either being in the muscle, organ, gland or tissue. Hence, this reflects the body’s overall state. Kinesiology muscle testing can look at the percentage stress of the energy flow and evaluate whether the stress has origins from a structural, chemical, emotion etc aspect. Kinesiology looks beyond the symptoms. It does not treat, diagnose nor assess disease states. Kinesiology is concerned with the energy imbalances of the body, from a structural, nutritional, emotional etc aspect.

Simply, Kinesiology is a non-invasive method that uses muscle testing feedback and body awareness that can help reduce stress and pain, improve performance at school, in sports, work and home, relationships and promotes health and well-being. Kinesiology also helps individuals to access the inner knowing and find again the power of choice in one’s life.
