Yoga Styles
Dynamic yoga is a creative style of Hatha yoga, principles of Astanga an Iyengar. Dynamic yoga is not only meditative but also physically challenging. Correct breath control is essential to creating a seamless flow of postures. Dynamic classes offer the chance to practice inversions and to build strength and focus, options / variations are always offered tho’, so all are welcome.
Hatha yoga prepares the body via physical and breathing exercises. It prepares and conditions the body so that the mind can practice meditation more or less without obstacles creating bodily health and emotional well-being. Hatha yoga integrates body, mind, emotions and soul through breath, gentle body work, meditation and relaxation. Yoga and relaxation will slow down the mind, allowing for quiet and calm. This means health, energy, vitality and joy from deep inside.
Iyengar yoga – Iyengar style yoga has it’s foundation in the form, alignment and therapeutic approach of B.K.S.Iyengar. However this is not a certified Iyengar class. Many other influences combine to stimulate and challenge the body’s physical intelligence, mental focus and innate capacity to improve. Your practice will enhance form and function, breath and awareness, and the all important work/rest/relax balance in a fun and safe environment.
Open Awaken is suitable for ALL LEVELS as the pace is slow enough for “newby’s” to find their feet. The session always begins with breath awareness and focus and ends with guided relaxation or meditation.
